clip_image020JUNIOR GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: ALL Junior Girls Volleyball Players please return your jersey ASAP to room 320. There is a box on the short filing cabinet that you can drop your jersey in and a sheet that you can sign after returning. Once all jerseys are returned we can see about a game and shirt order. Nothing will be done until this happens. If they are not all in by Friday May 3, 2013 I will send the names to the office and to Mr. Liska for immediate action. Thanks again for the great season. clip_image022CHOIR PRACTICE SCHEDULE - Preparation for the last mass of the year. Practice dates are Wednesday  May 8th, Tuesday May 14, and Tuesday May 21st. There will be a practice the morning of mass as well. All practices are held in room 119 at lunch. Everyone is encouraged to attend to help make this a spectacular final mass. (SS –May 21)

clip_image026VOLUNTEER HOURS!  THE CN CYCLE FOR CHEO event takes place on Sunday, May 5 which is just a few weeks away!  There are approximately 80 route assistant positions still open for students (16 years of age and over) who need their community service hours. Students can register on-line at cncycle.ca and will receive an e-mail response confirming their volunteer position. (KW –May 3)

JAMES BARTLEMAN ABORIGINAL YOUTH CREATIVE WRITING AWARD is open to all Aboriginal young people attending school anywhere in Ontario.  Get creative!  You could write a short story, song, poem, or even a play.  Deadline is May 31st. clip_image028SUMMER SCHOOL: The Ottawa Catholic School Board Summer School Registration Forms have arrived.  Summer school classes run from July 3rd to July 24th.  The pre-registration period is from May 1st, 2013 to June 21st, 2013.  Students unable to register before this date will have to do so in person on July 2nd from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at all summer school locations.  The registration form must be signed by the student, a parent/guardian and a guidance counsellor.  (KW –May 15)

Students can request extra tickets by signing up in Student Services between Wednesday May 1st and Friday May 17. No extra tickets can be requested after May 17.  Signing up does not guarantee you will receive the number you requested. Free Child care/babysitting will be provided. We ask that where possible, any children needing care be of ages 4 and up (to age 12). ST. BRIGID’S CAMP: We are looking for male counsellors (16-18---preferably completing Grade 11 or 12) who will take care of the campers from Monday to Friday starting on July 1st to July 26th).  It is such an important job as nobody matters more in a camper's life----a counsellor is a mom/dad, teacher, role model and best friend who provides a safe environment of leadership, compassion and kindness to so many campers.  All information regarding applications and camp is available on our website (www.stbcamp.ca).  Contact Camp Director Joanne Cooke at 613 728-3017.
