CAFETERIA CLOSING: Our cafeteria servery is now closed for the year. Grade 7 &8 students must bring their lunches on June 23rd and 24th as they will not have access to the cafeteria servery. (NM –Jun 24)

GRADUATION CEREMONY: The Grade 12 Graduation Ceremony will take place on Thursday June 25th, at 1:00 p.m. in the cafetorium. All additional tickets have now been allocated, and no more are available.
  • Gowns can be picked up from the Tuck Shop starting at 11:00am on June 25th.
  • Students must be dressed in their cap & gown and present in the wooden floor gym by noon.
  • The cafetorium will be open for seating at 12:30. Guests must have tickets to be admitted.
  • Parents will be invited to take pictures in the wooden floor gym at 12:15.

We want to have your ideas, comments, and suggestions for the TEEN ZONE area in your public library. This area is under development and we need to know what teens need and want in “their space”. Can you help us out? If so, we are holding a focus group on Tuesday, June 23rd at 3:30 in the meeting room at Ruth E. Dickinson Branch. If you are able and willing to give your input, please call and let us know at 613-580-2424 x 30353, or x 30355. This time will be signed off as community service time. There may be further opportunities to input to design, layout, and decorating features in the future. We value your input. Be involved! (KW –Jun 23)

7/8 YEAR-END TRIPS: Today is year-end trip day for our grade 7 and 8 students. Grade 7’s are heading off to Mont Cascades Waterpark, returning at 6:00 pm. Grade 8’s are off to La Ronde Amusement Park, returning at 8:45p.m. Have a safe and fun trip!

Registration runs from May 15th to June 17th. The forms are available in Student Services. (KW –Jun 17)

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED FOR CANADA DAY IN BARRHAVEN: Choose as many hours as you wish from 11 am - 11 pm. (Community service hours can be signed.) Possible duties include selling tickets, handing out flags, applying tatoos, helping with pony rides etc. Locations include Cresthaven Park, Metro, Walmart, and Clark Fields. IT’S BACK! THE FERRARI FESTIVAL: June 19th-21st. Looking for student volunteers to work 3-hour shifts on Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and evening and Sunday morning. You can sign up for more than one shift. T-shirts and caps are provided. Bring your community service hour sheets to be filled in. You will be part of a team ensuring that people do not get too close to the parked and roped off sports cars. E-mail your Name and phone number to: dharding@magma.ca subject: Ferrari Festival. You will receive more details as soon as your e-mail is received. This event is put on to raise money for the Villa Marconi, a charitable non-profit organization providing long-term care, retirement housing and a cultural center. (KW –Jun 15)
